Getting Started

Quick Start

Create your account, connect WhatsApp, and get your first automated reply in minutes.

Overview

This guide walks you through setting up your first AI agent on WhatsApp. By the end, you'll have a working agent that can respond to messages automatically.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to the sign-in page and create an account using one of the available options:

  • Continue with Google — Sign in with your Google account
  • Continue with GitHub — Sign in with your GitHub account
  • Use a passkey — Sign in with a passkey linked to your email

After signing in, you'll be taken to the dashboard.

Step 2: Create an instance

An instance is a connected WhatsApp number. To create one:

  1. From the dashboard, click Add New Instance
  2. Choose your connection type:
    • Normal WhatsApp — Uses a QR code to link your personal or small business number
    • Verified Business — Uses Meta's official Cloud API for verified business accounts with guaranteed delivery
  3. Enter a name for your instance (e.g., "Customer Support" or "Sales Bot")
  4. Add a short description of what this instance will do
  5. Click Create Instance
Dashboard → Add New Instance

Step 5: Turn on auto-replies

By default, the agent won't respond automatically. You need to enable it:

  1. Scroll down to the Auto-Responder Rules section
  2. Turn on Respond to Direct Messages
  3. Click Save Rules

Your agent is now live. Anyone who sends a message to your WhatsApp number will get an AI-powered response.

Step 6: Test it

Send a message to your connected WhatsApp number from a different phone. You should see the AI respond within a few seconds.

You can also watch the conversation in real-time from the Chat section in your dashboard.

What's next?

Your agent is running — but you've only scratched the surface. Out of the box, it can already browse the web, and once you enable more toolkits, it can run code, generate images, collect payments, automate websites, and much more.

Here's where to go next:

  • Connecting WhatsApp — Learn more about connection options and managing your connection
  • Agent Setup — Write better instructions and unlock the agent's full potential
  • Auto-Responder Rules — Control who the agent responds to and when
  • Knowledge Base — Upload documents so your agent can answer questions using your own data
  • Integrations — Enable code sandboxes, image generation, payments, scheduling, and more
